All for same customer

 

Since coming home from holidays & Nanna duties, I have been inundated with quilts to quilt for customers... since the 2nd of this month (8 days ago), I have finished 19 quilts and have another 10 here to quilt, plus 2 more customers are coming this weekend with more quilts!

It's a bit like, one step forward and three steps back!

You'd think I would be stressing, but unbelievably, I'm not... just over the moon & enjoying every moment.

These 7 smallish quilts are are all for the one lady, who picks up and drops more off... she has a cupboard full of different sized quilts to be quilted (these were all the cot size ones)... think she is coming to the end of them now.

Just thought I would shock you all and tell you that Bruce and I became engaged today.... and no, a date for the wedding has not yet been set.

Easter Swap -To Gina from Glenda

 

 As neither Gina nor Glenda have a blog and they both participated in my Easter Swap, I thought I would show you what Gina (Australia) got from Glenda (New Zealand).

 

E – Easter tin and Easter treats (I bribed the kids with the Easter treats this afternoon.. Pick up dog poo in the yard and they can have a chocolate each.. Job was done)

A – Address book (will fill this in and pop in my handbag as it is so compact and perfect for my bag)

S – Sticky notes (they are on my office desk ready to be used)

T – Tea – NZ tea.. (had a cup tonight and oh so yummy)

E – Egg natural soap (used it tonight when I had a shower and it has left my skin so soft)

R – Ribbons (my daughter claimed these for her hair)

 

T – Treats (I hate to say it but I did not just eat 1 chocolate.. I ate the entire 8 in one sitting as the voices in my head kept saying MORE MORE MORE.. They were YUMMM)

I – Ink pens (they are in my pencil case ready to use tomorrow at uni)

M – Money purse (this is in my handbag with lip glosses)

E – Easter egg moulds (the kids have TOLD me we are making chocolate eggs Friday using this)

My Easter Swaps

 

 First of all, this is what I packaged up & sent to my partner... it is winging it's way over the oceans to arrive to someone in the States...who can that be???

 

 When I returned home after 2 weeks at my daughter's place, this parcel was waiting for me... of course I couldn't wait to open it up (the Australia Post bag was taken off before I took the photo!)

  

The lovely lady who sent to me was Patricia (no blog) from Narromine.  

Now Patricia sent 2 items for every letter, plus the little pink bunny and chicks as extras...

..the little bunny talks when you squeeze it's tummy...soooo cute!

Easter Swap Closed

 

I only returned home this afternoon and am able (at last) to access my blog to announce the 2015 Easter Swap is now closed and everyone should have received their swap partners and should have already posted their gifts to them.

I received my gifts from my partner and I am TOTALLY blown away with what I received.

I will show photos in the next couple of days...but first I have to unpack, wash and get back to normal, after being on "Nanna Duties" the past couple of weeks while my daughter was getting over an operation and 3 weeks prior to that I was in Tasmania on a holiday.

Back from Tasmania

Yes I am back from Tasmania, and there is all sorts of transport I could have used:

Could have arrived on "The Endevour" as it was in port the same time as I was...

 Then again, I could have arrived & departed on the "Diamond Princess" while I was there..

 Then again, the flower power car would have been interesting to travel in....

 

However, being a true Australian... I rode on the sheep's back!

Easter swap 2015

 Easter is approaching and it is time to gather names for my 2015 Easter Swap on the same lines as last year.

The way the swap works is to send 10 items to a fellow swapper. (The person you send to is NOT the same as you will receive from).

The way these items are to be chosen are – they have to start with each letter in
 "EASTER TIME".  The items can be handmade or bought or both.

 

For EXAMPLE:

E - Egg, Eraser

A - Apron, Apple Fabric

S - Sunflower seeds, Smiley fabric

T - Tea Towel, Trims

E - Envelopes, $8

R - Ribbon, Recipe 

T - Tea, Toffee

I - Ink pen, Ice cream scoop

M -Mittens, Mug

E - Ear rings, Elephant

That is just some ideas I have come up with …

 but I am sure you all can come up with others.

Open world wide.  Closing date for names is midnight 18th March Australian time and I will send out names within a day or two and posting date is 23rd March... so start getting your items together!
