Winner & Bon Bon/Thread Catcher/Lolly Holders

And the winner is...(drum roll)...   Number 7..
...and number 7..was Tracy, from Sunny Corner Farm
Congratulations!
Please send me your snail mail address, Tracy, & I will post your prize off to you.

The other day, a friend of mine was telling me about a
Bon-Bon - come - Thread Catcher - come - Anything Bag
she had made with the 60 degree ruler and suggested I should try making one or two...
so here is what I made this morning...
I thought I would fill them with all sorts of things:
buttons, ribbons, threads & lollies.
My favourite one is.... LOLLIES!!!

I think they would look great on the Christmas table filled with wrapped lollies...
oh hang it...why wait till Christmas?...
fill them with lollies now & have one in every room!

Until next post...

Suggestions needed about these BEARS!

I just bought a heap of these bears (48 of them!) for "an offer I couldn't refuse!".

I need suggestions on what I can do - craft wise - with them.

They are 6" (15cm) tall and they are all pink fur with different coloured "trim".

I have 16 of each trim colour.

The dribbling of wax over them (to look like honey) is NOT an option, as I don't like the looks of that.

PLEASE HELP!

Mum's Quilt

Mum finished the quilt she was working on this week.
Like my Owl Quilt, it was being made into a single bed size, but it just didn't look right when all the extra borders were added, so we cut it back to just 2 borders, and made it into the size of a knee rug/cot quilt.. 37' x 56".
Here is a close up of the stitch I used.. as there were appliqued dragonflies in the quilt, I used the same stitch as I did on this quilt.

Don't forget to leave a comment here to be in the running for my GIVE AWAY.... closes on 16th September.

Quilt & Tea-Towels finished today

I really enjoy making tea-towels...
they come together easily and I think they look great.
All ironed & folded ready to sell.
While I was sewing the tea-towels, I had my Owl quilt "quilting" on my Gammill long arm machine.
Originally the Owl quilt was going to be single bed sized, however it just didn't look right, so I cut it back to the appliqued piece and just added the 2 borders and it is now Cot sized at 38" x 47".

I raced outside, in between showers of rain and photographed the quilt.  There was a slight breeze, which made it quite a challenge.  First I photographed it on the side fence...
...then I photographed it on my baby "Hills Hoist" which was mentioned back in this post.
Then is started to rain again, so I came inside.

Don't forget my GIVE AWAY found here
Answer the question and be in the running for the tea towel & dishcloth shown in that post.
Closing date is the 16th September.
