Over the last couple of days I sewed this quilt from a kit.
I LOVE blue & white!
I quilted & bound it today.
It finished up at 50" x 59"

Another one for my sale.

This weekend's projects

As I am up to date with customer's quilts, I have been making items for my stall that will be in September at Dungog's Quiltarama, plus my own Sale in December at the CWA Hall.

Firstly, a cot quilt... I just LOVE Mickey Mouse!
and what the back looks like
I bought these table runners as pre-cut kits.
Only the tops were in the kit, I had to use my own fabric for the backing & binding.
Now, I have to make a start on something else..

Day 3 catch up

Well this is the last of the catch up photos of what I have made since Christmas.
I have made some items for my USA trip.
I designed a koala for my zippered bags and here is what I came up with:
then played with my embroidery machine for the kangaroo
platypus
and koala, making them into lined zippered bags.
then I made some tea-towels
plus made some with my home town on it.
These tea-towels are made up by me, but then sent to an embroiderer who charges me $5 each motif she sews on.
I then wanted to use some of the huge PILE of 7" zippers I have and made some flat bottomed pouches:
I experimented firstly with Christmas fabric I had..
the used up some of the Australian fabric
and lastly!
I made up one and a half jars of wild blackberry jam.
Phew!..that's all the catching up..I hope I can keep up with my blogging.
Until next post...

Day 2 of catch up = Cot Quilt Panels

Wonder if anyone is still following me?
hope I haven't dropped off their "favourite" list!
Well here are  more photos:
COT QUILT PANELS
Firstly a Christmas panel
then the last of my Bambi panels
then I made up this cot quilt with my fabrics
the with the left over fabric from the panel I used in the stars in the above quilt..I made this one up.
Not real happy with the end result...think I should have had tram lines in between the squares
then it would have been too big for a cot quilt!
Then I bought 3 of the following tractor panels with matching hardcover books.
I made up 2 exactly the same
and had tractor fabric in my stash for the backing
Then I made up as I sewed, the third panel into a larger quilt
 (61" x 67")
and had a plain backing for it.
Well that is the cot quilts.
More pictures of other sewing tomorrow...
Until next post...

Catch Up...Been a LOOONNNGGG time

My, my..where has the months gone?
I will do a catch up now and the next few days to show you what I have been making since Christmas.
Firstly, my 100% cotton dish cloths... here is the normal ones I make.
They sell as fast as I make them!
Thought I would make a couple of Christmas themed ones.
and then I thought I would start making some to take with me to USA in a few months
..think I like this koala better
as well as knitting cloths (I do that in front of the TV at night time), I make table runners
for Christmas

and anytime during the year
Plus I have made some cute hot bowl holders:

This, of course, is in between quilting customers quilts.
More to show tomorrow..
I have been VERY productive..way too hot to go outside, so I stay indoors & sew with the air con on!
Until next post...

Fat 1/4 Birthday Gifts

Sorry it has taken me over a week since my birthday to post a photo of the LOVELY gifts that I have received, but I have been waiting on one more to arrive, but it still hasn't come.
The lady did phone me on my actual birthday and wish me a Happy Birthday and said my gift is running a bit late.

So here are my gifts:
 Aren't I lucky???
and the bottom row is from my "special" partner, Asta.

THANK YOU!  I was very spoilt.

Unusal Knitted Neck Scarf

In November, I went to a Blog Weekend in Bathurst and among all the fun I saw a scarf that a "Mum" had knitted, but there was no pattern.
So with tape measure, pad & pen I worked out the pattern, came home & knitted it.
I used wool from my stash..this is Wangaratta 60% Wool/40% Acrylic 8 ply.
..and here it is!
I made it while I was watching the "Ashes Cricket".
I think I will be making more of these to sell online & my stall.

Until next post...
