Dish Cloth Swap and Covered Bag

I finished knitting my dish cloth(s), purchased the seeds and posted them off to my secret swapper last Friday. I know I was a bit early to send my Jellywares Washcloth Swap, but I knew I had to get in and do it straight away otherwise I would have fretted that I would run late. Now I have to sit back and wait to see what the receiver thinks!

On the sewing side, I have also made this:

into this:

I have so many projects in the cupboard that I want to start next, but can't decide which one to do first... anyone else have that problem?

It is my boyfriend's birthday today, so I held a bar-b-q at my place and invited his family around for lunch. Of course we followed the main course with a pavlova and I made a sponge with jam, cream, strawberries and passion fruit for his birthday cake. He was so embarrassed when the cake came out with a lighted, singing candle in the middle of it.

Well that's it for now. Until next post...

Cheers Jewells

  1. Well done Julie, both on getting your washcloths done and your bag. Having been lucky enough to receive some of your cloths in the past, I know the recipient will be thrilled with it! I'm in the same swap. I've finished my cloth, and bought the seeds on the weekend so just need to post it now.

  2. I received your beautiful cloths and seeds in the post today. Yes, I am thrilled. The colours are lovely and your workmanship is so professional.

I can't wait to get out and sow my sunflower seeds. I have a long garden that I can see from my kitchen which will be perfect and the chooks will enjoy the seeds when the flowers are finished. I'll have to start my chillis in pots first as there is still a chance of a late frost here - and the nastertiums will be lovely and bright in the flower garden, and a few in among the veges.

Thank you so very much. I'll take photos tomorrow in the daylight and put them on my blog tomorrow night.

  3. Thank you for the kind words to both Vanessa and Janice. I forgot to photograph the dish cloths before I sent them!... the verigated one is what you have seen before Vanessa, but the solid colour one was something different!... cheers...Jewells
