As mentioned before, on most Saturday mornings, my boyfriend and I go to garage sales.
Look what I found this week for .50 cents each!
These 2 bird cross stitches are each worked on a 14" square piece of Aida fabric. The birds are about 9". I will gently wash & press them, then I intend to use them in the middle of a patchwork quilt.
Then I found this Bear & Chicken framed cross stitch for $1. I hope to remove it from the frame and make a "chicken" quilt out of it. Only last week, I purchase some "egg" fabric that will go with it, along with the chicken wire fabric I have in my stash. My sister has chooks and has thousands lots of chicken ornaments throughout her house, so a chicken themed quilt will fit in nicely.
Then I saw this for $2, and being a teddy bear lover, how could I pass it by? It is 10" high and 12" wide. My boyfriend did the eye roll and head shake when he saw me pick it up.
Until next post..
Cheers...Jewells
